1. What should every person try at least once in their life?
Everyone should try something way outside their comfort zone! When I auditioned to be a home shopping television host I had never done anything like this job! I was SO nervous!! It turned out to be the most fun risk I’ve ever taken.
2. What brings you the greatest joy?
My family brings me the greatest joy!
3. What brings you the greatest satisfaction?
Telling people’s story on the air brings me the greatest satisfaction! When we have a product with an enthusiastic creator behind it I LOVE helping them tell their story.
4. What is the best advice you’ve been given?
My husband’s advice … You don’t know what you don’t know. Always be open to others’ ideas and opinions.
6. What is on your bookshelf?
I love to read mysteries! Lisa Gardner is one of my favorites.
7. What charity do you support?
I support juvenile cancer research.
8. What is on your bucket list?
Top two things on my bucket list are writing a book, and designing my own jewelry brand :)
9. What is on your perennial to-do list?
My to do list is getting organized, working out, and always practicing gratitude.
10. What are the last three items on your credit card statement?
Shoes ( shhh don’t tell my hubby) fresh squeezed juice, a new book. Wow, I sound a bit boring!
11. What item in your closet do you wear the most?
I have some cute jeans that fit right and have enough stretch to accommodate the extra few pounds I have right now! I love a great pair of jeans.
12. Who are your heroes?
My children. They are all so unique and have their own stories! At 26, 23 and 18 they have all accomplished amazing things and I am so proud of them.
13. Who is on the guest list for your ideal dinner party?
I think a great dinner party needs variety. Oprah, My mom ( because she is so funny!) and 5 people I don’t already know ( maybe 5 of you reading this)
14. What is your greatest indulgence?
My greatest indulgence is Godiva truffle chocolates! I am usually more of a salty snack person, but when I want to really indulge it’s Godiva.
15. What is on your nightstand?
On my nightstand is a small glass tray to hold my jewelry, a framed painting that a friend did of my cat, and the most recent book I am reading.
16. What quote do you live by?
“Not all who wander are lost” I believe the struggles in life are where we develop our strength. So many of my loved ones have struggled and wandered off the path that they “thought” was the right way to their destination, I have done this in my own life. Wandering off path and finding your own way back is how you become the person you are destined to be. Never give up on each other.
17. What is the best gift you’ve ever received?
That’s a tough question… I have to say having my three children and meeting my amazing husband. With those people in my life I am given new gifts every day.
18. What is one thing people would be surprised to know about you?
I went through kindergarten twice :)
19. What is your beauty secret?
My beauty secret is consistency with skincare, always use something. Even if you can’t afford what you think is the “best”. Being dedicated to serum, eye cream, and moisturizers will go a long way. I stock up on skincare when I find a good deal… NEVER pay full price, trust me it WILL go on sale :)
20. What is one thing you wish you knew when you were young?
I wish I had known that it’s all going to be okay! At 25 I was a divorced single mom with two kids working double shifts to get by. I met my husband, found a career that I LOVE and had my youngest daughter within a few years. God has a plan for us… walk in faith, be a good person, and all will be okay.
