1. What should every person try at least once in their life?

Travel by yourself somewhere off the beaten path.

 

2. What brings you the greatest joy?

Easy. My kids. I am so fortunate to have 2 (soon to be 3) happy and healthy kids.

3. What brings you the greatest satisfaction?

Seeing a project go from start to finish.

When you think something is not possible, it takes a little bit of creative thinking and digging deep, but you can make things happen!

 

4. What is the best advice you’ve been given?

My parents equally have given me great advice.

To this day, my Dad tells me “tomorrow is a new day.” Good or bad, there is always a fresh start in the morning. 

The second piece is from my Mom who told me everyday before school “learn something new.” It sounds very simple, and it is! But it is a reminder to never stop being curious and always continue to learn and grow.

 

5. Who do you follow on Twitter?

I’m not a big Twitter guy, but I do use it and follow mostly sports news.

7. What charity do you support?

We are so proud to support Seattle Children’s Hospital.

They have done wonderful things for Childhood cancer research among other things. We actually partner with them and produce a pearl bracelet that we donate $10 from every sale back to their foundation.

 

8. What is on your bucket list?

Take a month long vacation on a remote island with my family.

Free dive with whale sharks and a school of hammerhead sharks and cage dive with a great white shark.

9. What is on your perennial to-do list?

Clean my office! My office would terrify most people!

Design more jewelry! The fun of working on TV and online is that a new collection comes out as often as you like!

 

10. What are the last three items on your credit card statement?

Coffee
iTunes
New clothes (It’s Chinese New Year!)

11. What item in your closet do you wear the most?

I am all about having great basics.

Quality jeans, t shirts and sweatshirts are a must!

 

12. Who are your heroes?

My parents – they started our business with $800 and drove up and down the West Coast and eventually throughout Asia and turned it in to a great business all while starting and raising a family

13. Who is on the guest list for your ideal dinner party?

My entire extended family so all of the kids can run around and wreak havoc together!

Add in a couple of close friends and their kids, and to make it interesting you can throw in Pete Carroll, the head coach of the Seattle Seahawks.

 

14. What is your greatest indulgence?

Shopping, pearls, good chocolate, espresso, and wine.

 

15. What is on your nightstand?

My Kindle and my phone charger.

 

16. What quote do you live by?

Trust your instincts and don’t overthink.

 

17. What is the best gift you’ve ever received?

My kids!

 

18. What is one thing people would be surprised to know about you?

I love to cook. When I travel, I am always trying new things and trying to learn how to recreate them at home.

 

19. What is your beauty secret?

My Mom would tell you to moisturize your skin at night and wear sunscreen.

However, I think the best beauty is to exercise! I exercise almost every day. To me, there is nothing better than starting the day off with a workout.

20. What is one thing you wish you knew when you were younger?

Being a parent has taught me to enjoy the journey of daily life and the growth and learning that happens every day!
