So … I just bought a 2021 Silver Eagle, without a certificate or fancy box, and I paid $35. And THAT was high. I was just lazy and went to a high but convenient seller.

Today’s spot silver price is $26.58 per ounce, for reference. Spot silver goes up and down — sometimes it goes up a lot, especially in an election year. You will always pay more than spot, sometimes up to 30% more, depending on your dealer. On top of that, you’ll pay more for Silver Eagles because they’re considered both a denomination (a dollar) and silver, and they’re collectible. Plus there’s more when they’re certified like these. But it’s not almost 4x spot anywhere but HSN.

I still can’t believe they sell coin on HSN though – so 1980 :giggle-cat:

It’s a HHHUUUUGGGEEE investment market, because 2021 will have two designs.  And it’s fueled by the fact that it hard to get these years right now.

But when you look at how you’ll sell it, you’re paying a premium that you may not get back.

They sold 13,000 of these already.

Yeah… I’m not surprised (even if I’m bored) because the shopping networks will not sell anything that does not make them money :lol2:
