My favorite is rhodonite:

Just a note: people often confuse rhodonite (this one) with rhodochrosite.

Rhodonite has back veins of manganese oxide. Rhodochrosite is more pink with white swirls. So, this is supposed to have black in it, and I love that color combination.

As usual, Jay’s sodalite is top notch and looks like lapis:

Sodalite is often confused for lapis, but the main difference is lapis has golden speckles in it and sodalite doesn’t; it has white marbled in with the blue. Still, a fabulous color of blue!

I caught a bit of his midnight show last evening – it’s fun watching him call in on video
