Updated 1/20/2019: Go straight to the post listing duplicated brands

It looks like vendors and brands are moving around between QVC & HSN after QVC bought HSN  ( Update 11/11/2018: Seems like Q changed their mind and decided to duplicate VC on HSN + QVC instead  )

Vince Camuto was one of HSN’s most famous mainstream brands… and it appears they are no longer sold on HSN:

Instead I noticed this on QVC today:

I wonder who will be next?

I guess Andrew Lessman’s ProCap brand, the popular vitamin & supplement line on HSN, may be under consideration to sell on both QVC & HSN in the future. But I imagine there’s a lot of details to be worked out first, such as production to meet QVC’s sales volume without sacrificing Andrew’s (thankfully) high quality expectations. Our house is filled with his vitamins & supplements and I find his presentations highly educational and inspiring  BF and I bumped into Andrew and his GF Muriel once in an elevator! :teehee:

QVC haven’t had a strong vitamin & supplement since Nature’s Code with Dr. Taub when he retired (?) in 2009.

By the way, once upon a time, Andrew Lessman was on QVC before he moved to HSN! (HSN Queen Host Colleen Lopez too!)

    Again, just a guess!

It looks like vendors / brands are moving around between QVC & HSN after QVC (or parent company) bought HSN  Vince Camuto was one of HSN‘s most famous mainstream brands… and it appears they are no longer sold on HSN: Instead I noticed this on QVC today: http://www.qvc.com/vince-camuto/_/N-1z13icy/c.html

I had noticed that they were on Q now, but thought maybe it was going the sold on both channels since they’re one company.

Which then brings up another question, if the most popular brands are sold on both channels… then what’s the point of having both QVC & HSN?

I think we will see a lot of interchanging of brands on both QVC and HSN.  They probably feel like that there is a lot of different people that only watch one channel and they want to get both targeted customers.

I think we’ve always seen them (and hosts) moving back and forth because it’s a small industry.

But it’s definitely accelerated somewhat since the merger. Do you see any moving to HSN or just exiting?

I’ve lost track of the growing list of brands that are now appearing on both channels :coocoo:

I think the big ones so far are:

At this point, why don’t they just rename HSN + HSN2 to QVC 3 and QVC4? :laughcry:

I still enjoy watching QVC and I watch certain host. However I do also watch HSN and I think they are much more progressive with the brands and styles of things they carry. Shoes being the perfect example and bags. I feel like QVC is much more outdated.  So I hate to see a lot of the brands go to QVC from HSN as I think they will not be represented as up to date. Of course this is just my opinion.

I think they do this often anyway, just not as fast as we will soon see it.

I agree especially about fashion. Though HSN is kinda stuck at times on DG2 jeans.  And QVC is kinda stuck on Dooney.

Before, we do see brand moving around but at a snail’s pace – now, we’re seeing duplicate brands on both channels though  and that’s never happened before with the exception of Apple, Bose, and Dyson since they’re not beholden to anyone :teehee:
