That’s smart!
I’m excited!
Evine will stay in Minnesota, just have a small studio in NYC from what I told
October 19, 2018 at 1:04 pm EST #329525Here’s another article:
Essentially, in exchange for the job cuts mainly from HSN’s St. Petersburg Florida location, QVC plans to create a new fulfillment center in Bethlehem PA by 2020 to handle both QVC+HSN products.
Here’s a quote from the article:
“Even if Qurate eventually hits 1,500 in Bethlehem, that’s a net loss of 575 jobs at the company.”
Also:
“ADDITION AND SUBTRACTION
While Qurate will add jobs in the Lehigh Valley, it is taking more away from other areas:
Addition: Qurate plans to create 1,200 to 1,500 jobs in Bethlehem once the facility is operational in 2020.
Subtraction: Qurate is eliminating 2,075 jobs, which includes 1,725 across warehouses in Lancaster, Virginia and Tennessee, in addition to 350 in West Chester, Long Island and Florida.”
And, from wiki:
“Qurate Retail Group, formerly known as Liberty Interactive, is an American media conglomerate controlled by company Chairman John C. Malone, who owns a majority of the voting shares.”
That’s the company that owns QVC.
October 30, 2018 at 8:32 am EST #329838A little birdie tells me there are changes coming to the HSN system, supposedly to make things easier both on the website and in their in-house ordering system.
I don’t know any more than that, but I do know if you presently return an item on HSN, you cannot write a review for it unless you do so before you send/process the return. That is going away, apparently. I guess it remains to be seen what they will actually be doing. I don’t love the Q website, but I suspect it’ll be close to if not exactly like it.
October 30, 2018 at 11:34 am EST #329841Ugh. Me too. I like HSN’s site, not a fan of QVC’s website.
HSN’s is user-friendlier and I don’t remember ever having any technical issues with them – while QVC’s have had quite a number of tech issues in 2018 alone – including their site stalling just last week when I was trying to buy a cool silicone bottle brush set that David V was presenting
The only thing I want to see the HSN site to improve on is their e-gift card technology. It takes a while for those e-gc emails to arrive
Thanks for sharing the news, Lady Nine M!
November 8, 2018 at 9:27 pm EST #330186I’ve had trouble with HSN for my last two orders. They keep saying I placed them as a guest and so I can’t review the products. But they’re in my account and with my number on them.
November 9, 2018 at 10:54 am EST #330191I don’t even think it’s possible to order on HSN.com as a Guest!
I wonder if they’re doing something with their technologies so that customers can use 1 account to shop on both sites – and things are messing up? They already have tabs on top of both QVC & HSN sites linking to each other and been sharing sweepstakes anyway
(Just thinking out loud.)
