Some of you may wonder why the “cognac” quartz is not the same as smoky quartz. That’s because smoky quartz is a different color: a brown with a more gray undertone; it forms near sources of natural radiation. This cognac is much warmer, and it’s actually a type of natural citrine. The only difference in color between a citrine and an amethyst would be how hot it was when the crystal formed; if it’s cooler, the color is purple. The white quartz is pretty too: it’ll sparkle in these sizes/cut!

I am partial to all the quartz offerings for this special. But any of the stones are beautiful and a great, visible size!
